Minimoons. See Why You Need One

Minimoons. See Why You Need One. Gabrielle Konali

Do you know what a minimoon is? This new concept has become fashionable since more and more celebrities started taking them. If you are organising your wedding yourself—and even if your partner is just as involved in it all as you are—the closer the date gets, the more tired and emotional you might be feeling as the pressure of trying to get everything just right begins to take its toll. If that’s true for you, you need a minimoon.

Get away from the stress for a while with a short break before your big day and then—after a little rest—come back to the arrangements with renewed energy. This kind of getaway usually lasts 2–4 days and the destination is generally somewhere close by but still far enough away from home that you can really disconnect.

Canary Islands are synonymous with relaxation and good weather. Our paradisiacal beaches and the warm sunshine that accompanies us each day and even our relaxed way of life will help you forget all your cares. Enjoy a few days of quality time, sharing experiences with the love of your life: from sunbathing at any time of year to activities to help you release all of that adrenaline.

Or you might also need a minimoon AFTER the big day, mainly if you have chosen a very faraway destination for your honeymoon. It might be because the idea of spending more than 8 hours on a plane all at once is not very appealing or because you don’t want to arrive exhausted and not be able to get out of bed for the first 12–24 hours. You could choose somewhere closer for a few days just after the wedding and then—when you have recovered physically and emotionally—take a proper 2-week honeymoon.

Think you fancy a minimoon?
