Fourth wedding anniversary Aljosa Petric

As described in previous articles with ideas for celebrating your wedding anniversary, the Canary Islands are the perfect destination whatever you choose to mark the occasion.

Four years after saying “I do” comes the wedding anniversary symbolised by silk in Spain. A delicate material, silk is associated with both comfort and luxury, due to the many hours of work required in its manufacture. For this reason, this anniversary places a special emphasis on wellbeing.

Let the relaxation begin with a morning stroll along any one of our beautiful beaches! With hundreds of kilometres of fine white and black sand, it is thanks to an ever warm and sunny climate that our beaches can be enjoyed 365 days a year. Not only will the sun’s rays take care of your Vitamin D levels and the trade winds blow away any cobwebs, you’ll also walk away with softer feet thanks to the sand’s exfoliating properties.

And to leave the rest of your skin silky soft, what better than a full-body treatment to have you looking and feeling your best? In the Canary Islands, you’ll find a wealth of spas and resorts ideal for enjoying experiences centred on your wellbeing. Watch as your body is revitalised and transformed, while enjoying the mental bliss that comes with soaking up breathtaking views and relaxing music.

Such a special anniversary also calls for a special dress. The Canary Islands are home to a variety of talented designers who will be able to create a dress for you customised with your favourite cuts and colours, while our craftspeople will also be able to create jewellery and accessories to add the perfect finishing touch.

If you’re looking for an exclusive souvenir for such a special occasion, we recommend a visit to Europe’s only remaining silk weaving workshop. Located in El Paso in La Palma, the building also houses a museum describing the history of the ancient techniques used to manufacture the silk, and it’s with the same love and care that products are handmade today.

Canary Islands. The ideal destination for a pampering break.

The silk museum in El Paso is definitely worth a visit. If you continue up the street to the side of the church is an excellent bar for tapas.
