The Canary Islands has become a highly prized cinematographic stage on a national and international level. This has opened a new means of chasing the backdrop for their pre or post wedding event: Hollywood film locations.
Below, we will talk about some of the super-productions in recent years, and the locations which you can visit to take part in this current trend suitable not merely for moviegoers.
1 Clash of the Titans
In 2009, the Teide, Garajonay and Timanfaya national parks lent themselves as the backdrops for this Louis Leterrier movie. In it we can see its stars (Sam Worthington, Gemma Artenton) on the backs of scorpions crossing the Ucanca Plains, the Fuego Mountains or a temple in ruins in the San Jose Mines.

2 Fast & Furious 6
At the start of the sixth part of the Fast and Furious saga we can see that Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) has retired to the town of Garachico, yet his peace and quiet will not last long.
The most hair-raising scene takes place over the Silva Bridge, at 400 metres in the air. This bridge joins Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the north-west part of the island.
The director Ridley Scott considered Fuerteventura to be the perfect place to film this new version of the story of Moses. The Corralejo Dunes, the beaches at Cofete, Risco del Paso, Pozo Negro, the Buen Paso Ravine or the Natural Park of Jandía are some of the spots where the action takes place in which we can see actors of the stature of Christian Bale or Sigourney Weaver.
4 In the Heart of the Sea
Santiago Beach, in La Gomera, is in fiction the port in which the Essex and its crew set sail. The director Ron Howard chose this location because he needed a large stretch of calm water for the shoot. Upon finalisation of the filming on the island, the team move to El Golfo in Yaiza (Lanzarote).
Other locations that will be added between 2016-17 are located in the two provincial capitals of the Canary Islands. Santa Cruz de Tenerife, thanks to the Jason Bourne shoot, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where Wild Oats was filmed.
